Welcome to (or back to) the Greene Turtle Field Hockey Club for the 2010-2011 Season!

We will be fielding seven team this year. (Two U 19, two U 16 and three U 14) All teams will be participating in four indoor tournaments. Indoor practices will be one to two times per week at Baltimore Lutheran beginning November. You will be contacted by email with the schedule as soon as we have finalized our tournaments- most tournament dates are not posted until mid-October. The tournament fees will depend on the schedule and will need to be paid at that time.

In addition to the indoor tournaments, we are trying to secure spots for  U 16 and U 19 teams to participate in Disney in February. If we are succesful, all of the players in that age group will be invited to attend. We will know if we are taking teams by mid- August.

There will be open tryouts for a U 19 Festival Team that will be traveling to Arizona to play Thanksgiving weekend. The tryout will take place the week of July 26th. This tryout will be open to all players, including those that do not play for the Greene Turtle. This is an extremely competitive recruiting tournament and will be taking the best team we can field.

We are a non-profit club but we are small and there are many expenses that we have to cover. This includes coaches fees, field rentals and administrative expenses. The club registartion fee this year is $300. This needs to be paid through this website by July 14th in order to guarantee your position on a team.  Registration will begin June 30th.  If you do not already have a uniform the fee is an additional $75 and the fitting is July 14th--see details next paragraph.

We will have a Meet & Greet and uniform sizing get together on July 14th at the Greene Turtle in Towson (408 York Rd Towson, MD 21204) beginning at 5pm. This day will also serve as fundraiser for our club. GT Towson will donate 10% of the sales for the day directly to our hockey club. Hockey gear will also be available for sale that day. Spread the word!

There will be a few workouts through the summer. We will have details available on July 14th and will let everyone know by email.

We will be entering a U 19 team (high school girls) in a summer tournament the weekend of July 24-25 in preparation for high school tryouts. This will at Cedar Lane Park or Rockburn Branch Park in Howard County. Please email us if you are available to play!
